B.Sc. Siddha Medicine and Surgery

B.S.M.S. is an undergrad program in Siddha Framework of Medicine, which is the foremost ancient among the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) systems. As demonstrated by Siddha thinking, the mental and physiological components of the human body are compelled by SEVEN components – saram (plasma), cheneer (blood), ooun (muscle), kozhuppu (fat), elumbu (bone), moolai (nerve) and inthiriyam (semen). These seven components are started by three Mukkuttram – vatha (discuss), pitha (fire or warmth or essentialness), and kapha (water). The lopsidedness of any of these Mukkuttram brings around illness and the Siddha Framework of Medication changes the vitiated Mukkuttram for a strong life.

Students who need to be specialists but can’t get into an M.B.B.S. program might consider B.D.S., B.H.M.S., B.A.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.S.M.S., B.V.Sc. or B.N.Y.S. In India, a B.S.M.S. degree takes 5.5 a long time to total, with 4.5 a long time of classroom study and ONE year of required internship.
